Sweet and Sour Pork Chops生炒排骨



Most of my Australian friends like this classic Cantonese dish, sweet and sour pork. They just love the sweet and sour sauce that goes very well with rice. However, when they go to some Chinese restaurants, they are very disappointed. The restaurants use deep-fried fatty pork ribs, coated with an MSG-laden thick sauce.



Here’s my version that uses pork loin chops and that makes healthier, yet enjoy the classic yummy sweet and sour sauce.

This time I did an experiment with a hot pot. Actually, we can use a hot pot to cook various delicious foods. As for this stewed pork ribs in Zhengjiang Style, my hot pot made the pork ribs especially tender that nearly melted when they came into my mouth.



Best of all, the Zhengjiang vinegar goes with the pork ribs wonderfully. No wonder this dish is very popular in Chinese community.

Pan-fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce檸檬煎雞扒


This pan-fried chicken with lemon sauce will surely appeal to your appetite. You know I’m obsessed with fruit cooking. The sour taste of lemon cuts through the chicken meat. You won’t feel the meat too heavy for stomach. I used skinless chicken thighs with no fat at all. You can easily get them from any supermarkets, so it’s very handy. But if you’d like to enjoy crispy fried chicken skins, you can keep them of course.
